In the summer of 2022, the life of 21-year-old Maleyk Kyre Bryant was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire in Birmingham, Alabama. On the evening of Wednesday, July 27, 2022, Bryant and another man were wounded in a shooting that unfolded in the Ensley neighborhood.
The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. in the 1200 block of 29th Street Ensley. Officers from the Birmingham Police Department’s West Precinct were dispatched to the scene following a report of a person shot.
