In the early morning hours of January 30, 2022, the life of 36-year-old Asia Rashay Heard, a Black female from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically cut short. She was driving her Kia Optima northbound along the 200 block of Killough Drive when another vehicle suddenly veered into her path. The ensuing head-on collision was violent and devastating, and Heard was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The other vehicle, a 2000 Ford Mustang traveling southbound, was driven by 28-year-old
Tiffany Jacquelle Roseman. According to reports, Roseman's vehicle crossed the center line, leading to the fatal impact with Heard's car. The incident occurred at approximately 5:50 a.m. in the east Birmingham area.
Following an investigation into the circumstances of the collision, authorities took action against the driver of the Mustang. Tiffany Jacquelle Roseman was arrested in connection with the crash. She was subsequently indicted on charges related to driving under the influence, bringing a measure of legal accountability to the sudden and senseless loss of Asia Rashay Heard's life.
