On January 12, 2022, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 2900 block of John Bryant Road, located within the Kimbrough Homes Housing Community in Birmingham, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old De'Undray Nakil Haggard lying on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
