On a late Monday night in West Tuscaloosa, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace. When police arrived at the 3000 block of 27th Street at 9:30 p.m. on March 28, 2022, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were rushed to DCH Regional Medical Center for treatment, but for one of them, it was too late. Lamont LaKeith Cameron, a 26-year-old male, succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.
