On March 28, 2022, 26-year-old Lamont LaKeith Cameron was fatally shot in a double shooting incident in the 3000 block of 27th Street in West Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 9:30 p.m., discovering Cameron and his half-brother, Orlando Blackmon, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center, where Cameron succumbed to his injuries, while Blackmon survived and was expected to recover.
