Demetrius Antwan Davis Jr., a 25-year-old Black man from Birmingham, Alabama, was tragically shot and killed on March 26, 2023, at the Circle K gas station on Tallapoosa Street. The incident occurred around 6:00 PM when Davis Jr. was pumping gas. An unknown suspect approached him and began firing shots, striking Davis Jr. before he could return fire. Despite efforts by first responders, Davis Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
