On September 13, 2021, at approximately 1:19 a.m., Birmingham Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 2400 block of 4th Avenue South. Upon arrival, they discovered 27-year-old Tyrese Jamal Vault seated in the passenger seat of a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds.
