On July 25, 2020, 18-year-old Tyler Artez Lee was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 2:54 p.m., officers from the Birmingham Police Department's North Precinct responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of 9th Avenue North, within the Smithfield community.
