In the early evening of June 1, 2021, a verbal dispute in the Ensley community of Birmingham, Alabama, escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 17-year-old Desmon Antwuan McGuire. The male teenager was in the 2000 block of Avenue P around 7:00 p.m. when the incident occurred.
