Chong Ku Hwang, a 56-year-old man, was found dead in the southern part of Linn Park in Central City, Birmingham, on January 2, 2021. He was identified as the city's second homicide victim of the year. Hwang was known to be a transient.
His body was discovered by city workers who were cleaning up the park around 8 a.m. The investigation revealed that Hwang was killed with a sharp object. Despite the efforts of the authorities, no arrest has been made in connection with his death.
