On February 27, 2021, in Dora, Alabama, 27-year-old Roger Dale Gibson was fatally shot during a confrontation with local police officers. The incident occurred in the 500 block of High Street, where officers responded to a disturbance call. Upon arrival, a physical altercation ensued between Gibson and the officers, leading to the discharge of firearms.
