On August 26, 2020, at approximately 12:08 a.m., 22-year-old Brandon Monroe Thomas was fatally shot while cooking in the kitchen of his home on Snowville-Brent Road in Dora, Alabama. Witnesses reported that a vehicle approached the residence, and multiple shots were fired into the house before the vehicle sped away.
