On June 14, 2020, at approximately 12:15 a.m., Birmingham Police officers responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the 7600 block of 3rd Avenue South. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Lamar Harris lying unresponsive in the front yard of a residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived shortly thereafter and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
