On February 6, 2020, 27-year-old Devonta Reddick was fatally shot at his residence on Dogwood Lane in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to reports of a shooting around 6:30 a.m., officers from the East Precinct discovered Reddick lying unresponsive in the front yard, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Inside the home, a second victim was found with life-threatening gunshot injuries and was transported to UAB Hospital for treatment.
