On a Tuesday evening in Bessemer, Alabama, the life of 24-year-old Dusharme Mandell Jones was tragically cut short. On December 15, 2020, at approximately 9 p.m., Jones was fatally shot inside his own home located in the 1300 block of Fairfax Avenue. When Bessemer police officers arrived at the scene, they found Jones deceased on the floor, having sustained a gunshot wound. He was a Black male.
