On June 4, 2020, 20-year-old Corey Dewayne Alexander was fatally shot in Bessemer, Alabama. The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of 25th Street North. Authorities reported that a dispute over a woman escalated into a shootout involving multiple weapons, with over 100 shots fired. Alexander, along with three others, sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to UAB Hospital. Despite medical efforts, Alexander succumbed to his injuries on June 5, 2020.
