On December 2, 2020, 22-year-old Dakota Colton Nunley was fatally shot in a road rage incident on Highway 75 near Remlap, Alabama. The Blount County Sheriff's Office reported that Nunley was driving a white Dodge truck when he was shot in the chest by a suspect driving a silver Toyota 4Runner. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
