On February 24, 2019, 23-year-old Deanthony Amari Cooper-Cain was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. The incident occurred around 10:55 p.m. in the 2800 block of Pike Road. Responding officers found Cooper-Cain suffering from gunshot wounds; he was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
