On January 3, 2019, 28-year-old Carltez "Tez" Clark was fatally shot in a drive-by incident in Birmingham, Alabama. Around 12:39 a.m., Clark was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on Parkway East when a black male suspect in a black mid-sized car pulled alongside and opened fire. Clark's girlfriend, who was driving, immediately drove him to the Birmingham Police Department's East Precinct on Red Lane Road, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
