A deceased body discovered Thursday night has been identified as a missing woman.

Birmingham Police have confirmed the victim as Jermiera Ivory Fowler, aged 31, who was last seen on May 31 around 4 p.m. in the 500 block of 41st Street North.

Fowler’s charred body was found on June 1 at approximately 9 p.m. in the 1000 block of Sellers Road in the Roebuck area.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office reported that Fowler was shot to death and then set on fire.
