In the early morning hours of December 4, 2014, the stillness of a Milwaukee neighborhood was broken by a grim discovery. A newspaper carrier on their route stumbled upon a parked car on a section of Park Hill Avenue that overlooked the bustling Interstate 94. Inside the vehicle, the carrier found the bodies of two young African-American men, later identified as 19-year-old Deshea Willis and 25-year-old Jonathan Ivory. Both men had been shot to death.
