In early 2022, concern grew for the well-being of James Lofton, a 78-year-old man from the Marion, Louisiana area. The last confirmed sighting of him was on February 2, 2022, at a Big Star grocery store located in Farmerville, Louisiana. After this brief stop at the local market, he seemingly vanished, and communication from him ceased entirely.
