Vaughan A. Chattman Sr., 34, male, was found shot inside his apartment on the evening of September 20, 2015, at 1634 Taylor Avenue in Racine, Wisconsin. Officers were called shortly before 9 p.m., and he died from a gunshot wound at the scene. In the days that followed, a candlelight prayer vigil gathered neighbors near Taylor Avenue to honor him and mark the place where violence had abruptly cut his life short.
