Do you know who killed 38 year old Constance Holtzman in 1988? Constance Marie Holtz, an 80-year-old female, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017. A former teacher and a resident of Great Falls, Virginia for over 42 years, she dedicated her life to education, working primarily in special education programs within the Fairfax County Public School System.
Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, she was the only child of Lawrence and Marie Miller.
She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in English and History, where she met her husband of 54 years, Thomas Richard Holtz, Sr., who preceded her in death. Throughout her life, she had a passion for learning, studying multiple languages and playing various musical instruments. She was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.
Her commitment to service extended beyond her teaching career. She volunteered as an ambulance aid in Texas and later served as a Family Support Group leader for the U.S. Army during her son Michael's deployment to Iraq. In her retirement, she took up oil painting and continued to contribute to her community by knitting caps for hospitalized newborns. She is survived by her four children and three grandchildren.
