On August 18, 2013, 43-year-old Victor Amilcar Soriano-Aviles was shot and killed during a home invasion at his apartment on Clarkson Road in Richmond, Virginia. Police were dispatched to the scene shortly after midnight, where they found Soriano-Aviles with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center but later succumbed to his injuries.
