On January 6, 2016, 36-year-old Djan R. Robinson was found dead on Highland View Avenue in Richmond, Virginia. A passerby discovered Robinson’s body in the roadway at approximately 6:18 a.m. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. Robinson’s murder marked the second confirmed homicide in Richmond for that year.
