A woman found dead in an abandoned house in Ensley this morning has been identified as Shalanda Ford, 36, said Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner Pat Curry.
Authorities have said Ford is the victim of an apparent homicide, but can't yet release the cause of death, Curry said.
A homeless person found Ford's body about 1:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Court R Ensley.
