On February 13, 2012, 67-year-old Betty Roberts was found dead in her home in Fort Worth, Texas. Police responded to a welfare check request after concerned neighbors noticed that Roberts had not been seen for a couple of days. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered that Roberts had been the victim of an apparent homicide. She was pronounced dead at the scene, with early investigations pointing towards foul play.
