On August 14, 2016, 38-year-old Martha "Kate" Wiant was tragically killed in a murder-suicide at her home in east Fort Worth, Texas. Her husband, Jeremy J. Wiant, fatally shot her before taking his own life. The couple's 5-year-old daughter was present during the incident but was not physically harmed.
