On August 19, 2012, 21-year-old Vanessa Ann Murrell was found deceased in a field in east Fort Worth, Texas. Her body exhibited signs of strangulation, and her throat had been cut. At the time of her death, Murrell was approximately three months pregnant. Authorities arrested her boyfriend, 22-year-old Johnny Calvin Scott Jr., in connection with the crime.
