Birmingham police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one man dead.
Kirwin King, 22, was shot about 12:40 a.m. in the 2500 block of Tempest Drive, Birmingham police spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams Jr. said.
Police were called to Princeton Baptist Medical Center on a report of a man who had been shot and died. Officers learned King had been driven there and dropped off by in a private vehicle. He was pronounced dead on arrival.
