On November 15, 2022, 28-year-old Brandon Tavarius Carpenter was fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 1 p.m., South Precinct officers responded to multiple ShotSpotter alerts in the 500 block of 41st Street North. Upon arrival, they found Carpenter unresponsive in an alleyway, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
