In the summer of 2007, a bright Tuesday afternoon in Nashville, Tennessee, turned tragic for 26-year-old Derrick Leon Handy. On June 5th, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the sounds of gunfire echoed through the alley between 8th Avenue North and Delta Avenue.
