In the early morning hours of Thursday, September 15, 2011, a grim discovery was made in a quiet Memphis neighborhood. The body of Christopher Young, a 38-year-old Black / African American male, was found lying unresponsive on the grass at 6056 Knights Bridge. Officers from the Ridgeway Station had initially responded to a call about a possible death at a nearby address at approximately 8:48 a.m., but were redirected to the scene where Young lay.
