In the early morning hours of Thursday, September 15, 2011, a grim discovery was made in a quiet Memphis neighborhood. The body of Christopher Young, a 38-year-old Black / African American male, was found lying unresponsive on the grass at 6056 Knights Bridge. Officers from the Ridgeway Station had initially responded to a call about a possible death at a nearby address at approximately 8:48 a.m., but were redirected to the scene where Young lay.
Upon their arrival, the Memphis Fire
Department pronounced him dead at the scene. Young was an employee of McLane Foods. The Memphis Police Department's Homicide Bureau is handling the investigation into his death.
Despite the ongoing investigation, authorities have not released information regarding any potential suspects in connection with Christopher Young's death. The case remains unsolved, and investigators are seeking information from the public to help bring closure to this crime.
