Cortaviz Green, a 6-year-old boy from Nashville, Tennessee, died on December 21, 2011, as a result of a tragic house fire in East Nashville. The fire broke out early in the morning, and Cortaviz was transported to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt after suffering from severe smoke inhalation. Despite efforts to save him, he did not survive.
