On July 20, 2015, a 45-year-old African American male named John Pitt was fatally shot in Memphis, Tennessee. The incident occurred in the 3200 block of Millbranch Road. Memphis Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered John Pitt with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
