In the Binghamton area of Memphis on a Friday night in January 2016, a violent encounter abruptly ended the life of 53-year-old Gerald Holloway. The male victim was in the company of two other men, walking along the 2300 block of Staten, when they were suddenly confronted by four individuals with robbery on their minds.
The assailants carried out their aggressive and unlawful act, robbing and assaulting the three men.
In a desperate attempt to escape the terrifying situation, Holloway tried to flee. However, his attempt to get away was tragically cut short when one of the suspects opened fire, striking him. The gunshot wound proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
