Gary James Jr., a 28-year-old Black male from Philadelphia, was killed in the early morning hours of April 15, 2008. Police were called at about 2:15 a.m. to the 4700 block of States Drive, where they found him suffering from a gunshot wound. James was reported to have lived on the 1300 block of Ellsworth Street, miles away from the scene where his life ended.
