Death by Force

On July 2, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., 31-year-old Joseph Wamah Jr. was fatally shot inside his residence on the 1600 block of South 56th Street in Philadelphia. A 911 call reporting gunshots was made around 2:00 a.m.; however, due to a dispatch error, officers were mistakenly sent to North 56th Street, approximately three miles away, resulting in a delayed response to the actual crime scene.
