Darryl Crosby, a 58-year-old resident of the Hill District in Pittsburgh, was found dead on February 4, 2009. He was discovered stabbed to death in his third-floor apartment located at 100 Hyman Place. The discovery was made by a social worker who had grown concerned after being unable to reach Crosby for a scheduled appointment.
