Birmingham Police were called out on a person shot in the 500 block of 14th street Ensley. The shooting happend around 2:30pm today. When Officers arrived on the scene they found 33 year old Corneilus Pickett of Birmingham suffering from a gunshot wound. Pickett was pronounced dead upon arrival at UAB Hospital. Police were told that the victim was involved in an altercation just before the shooting.
