On September 1, 2010, Donnell Sloan, a 30-year-old male, was shot and killed in Philadelphia. The incident occurred in the Germantown neighborhood, a section of the city that had seen a considerable amount of violent crime. Sloan was reportedly gunned down in the middle of the day, and police officers responded to a report of gunshots.
