In the spring of 2011, Braheem Jamison, a 22-year-old male, was filled with anticipation for the future. He had a promising job interview scheduled and was eagerly awaiting the birth of his son with his fiancée, Kenya. The couple, who were already raising Kenya's twin boys, dreamed of a large family and a life together. However, these dreams were tragically cut short on the night of April 21, 2011.
On that Thursday evening, in his own neighborhood in North Philadelphia, Braheem was
fatally shot. The incident occurred on the 1800 block of North Uber Street. He was struck by multiple gunshots and rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. The day that was meant to be a step toward a brighter future for his growing family became the last day of his life.
The sudden and violent death of Braheem Jamison left his family, including his mother Wendy and his fiancée, devastated and searching for answers. In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, police took five witnesses to the Homicide Division for questioning. Despite the investigation, no suspects have ever been publicly identified in connection with his murder, and no arrests have been made. The case remains unsolved, leaving a void of justice for a young man on the cusp of a new chapter in his life.
