Demetrius Broadnax, a 27-year-old resident of Monroeville, was fatally shot on October 20, 2013, during a gathering at the Diverse Banquet Club in the Homewood neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Broadnax, along with Jasmine Morris, aged 21, was attending a social event hosted by the New Brotherhood Motorcycle Club when gunfire erupted, leaving both dead and five others injured.
