On February 20, 2015, Richard Mathewson, aged 27, was found shot inside a white Ford Crown Victoria in Philadelphia. The incident occurred at around 7:23 p.m. on the 1500 block of West Butler Street. When police arrived at the scene, Mathewson was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was quickly transported by officers to Temple University Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries that evening.
