In the early morning hours of a cold February day in Philadelphia, the life of a young man was tragically cut short. On Thursday, February 26, 2015, Terrell Dont Osborne, a 22-year-old Black male, was on the 2700 block of Latona Street when gunfire erupted. Philadelphia Police officers responded to the scene at approximately 2:14 a.m. to find a chaotic and heartbreaking situation.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered Terrell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Recognizing the severity of his injuries, they rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in a desperate attempt to save his life. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, Terrell succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead that morning. He had resided on the 1200 block of South 27th Street, not far from where his life was taken.
The violence of that night did not end with Terrell. At the same scene, officers found a second victim, 22-year-old Charles Keitt, who had also been shot multiple times, sustaining wounds to his leg, hip, neck, and back. He too was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he also tragically died that morning. The case remains an unsolved homicide, and as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the double murder. The Philadelphia Police Department continues to seek information from the public that could lead to justice for the two young men whose lives were so violently ended.
