Antonio Guzman Bautista, a 22-year-old resident of Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, was fatally attacked on October 11, 2015, outside the Tierra Colombiana nightclub in North Philadelphia. The incident occurred on the 4500 block of North 5th Street in the early morning hours, around 2:55 a.m. Antonio and another individual were beaten by several men after leaving the nightclub. They suffered serious head and facial injuries as a result of the assault. While the second victim was treated and released from Temple University Hospital, Antonio's injuries were far more severe. He succumbed to the blunt force trauma injuries on October 22, 2015, after being in critical condition for several days.
The Philadelphia Police Department identified two men as "persons of interest" related to the case. These men, believed to be Latino males in their early to mid-20s, had also been inside the nightclub and were seen leaving before the victims. Surveillance footage was used to identify these individuals, who are considered armed and dangerous. Despite the release of this footage and a reward of $20,000 offered by authorities, no arrests have been made, and the case remains unsolved.
Antonio’s death is part of a larger pattern of violence in the area during that period, highlighting ongoing issues with nightclub violence and community safety. The police continue to urge anyone with information to come forward, hoping for leads that could provide closure to Antonio's family and lead to justice for his untimely death.
