On November 5, 2011, Maki N. Thomas, a 26-year-old Black male from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot on the 4900 block of Springfield Avenue. His death was recorded as the 277th homicide in Philadelphia for that year. According to public records, Maki Thomas was born on May 24, 1985, and was laid to rest in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.
