In the pre-dawn hours of Friday, February 19, 2016, the life of 19-year-old Kaymer Lewis was tragically cut short on a Philadelphia street. The young man was discovered lying on the 1900 block of Margie Street by Philadelphia Police officers who were responding to a call at approximately 6:55 a.m. He was unresponsive, having been shot. Medical personnel who arrived at the scene confirmed that he had died from his wounds.
Kaymer, who lived on Washington Avenue, was remembered by his
mother as a 'well-liked kid.' In the years that have followed his death, the search for those responsible has continued. His case is listed as an unsolved murder by the Philadelphia Police Department. Law enforcement has not released information on any suspects or persons of interest in the shooting. The investigation remains open, and authorities continue to appeal to the public for any information that could lead to an arrest and bring a measure of justice to his family.
