In the late hours of a Thursday in North Philadelphia, tragedy struck on the 1300 block of West Somerset Street. It was around 11 p.m. on November 10, 2022, when 25-year-old Nicholas Brown, a Black male, was seated in a parked GMC Yukon with another man of the same age. Suddenly, another vehicle pulled alongside them, and a barrage of bullets shattered the night's quiet.
