In the autumn of 2016, a day of football and camaraderie at what was then known as Heinz Field in Pittsburgh ended in a tragedy that would claim the life of William J. Laughlin, a 44-year-old male. On November 13, 2016, Laughlin, a married father of three, attended a Pittsburgh Steelers game against the Dallas Cowboys. As he and his wife, Rebecca, were leaving the stadium after the game, an altercation took place in a tunnel leading to the concourse.
